Flossing Has Little Evidence To Support It

I admit to being particularly enamoured of research that shows when common-sense advice is actually wrong. More so when it's not necessarily new information, but something showing that there actually never was any good reason for the clear recommendations that are taken for granted as true.

Unfortunately all fields fall prey to Groupthink, and medicine is no exception.

Groupthink occurs when a group values harmony and coherance over accurate analysis and critical evaluation. It causes individual members of the group to unquestioningly follow the word of the leader and it strongly discourages any disagreement with the concensus.Psychology Today
